    Echidna Chasm

    Landmark

Echidna Chasm is a narrow sandstone passage through the northern Bungle Bungle Range in Purnululu National Park. Steep walls rise closely on either side of the rocky floor, narrowing in places to only a few metres and limiting direct sunlight within the chasm. The vertical rock faces, confined compositions and changing reflected light provide opportunities for abstract and geological photography.
