    Skukuza Rest Camp

    Landmark

Skukuza Rest Camp is the largest and best-known rest camp in Kruger National Park. Situated on the banks of the Sabie River, it serves as the operational and tourism hub of the park while providing access to some of the most productive wildlife-viewing areas in southern Kruger. Its combination of river scenery, mature trees and abundant wildlife makes it one of the most important bases for exploring the reserve.

    Photography Notes

The camp is best photographed during early morning and late afternoon when light falls across the Sabie River and surrounding woodland. Telephoto lenses are useful for wildlife sightings along the river, while wider lenses work well for river landscapes and camp atmosphere.
