    Photography Notes

Madikwe is strongest during the first and last hours of daylight when wildlife activity peaks and warm light enhances both animals and landscapes. Telephoto lenses are essential for wildlife photography, while wider lenses can be used to place animals within the broader bushveld setting. The reserve is particularly well known for sightings of African wild dogs, making it one of the country's best locations for photographing this endangered species.
