    Photography Notes

The strongest compositions combine the open water of the dam with the rolling countryside that surrounds it. Elevated viewpoints create layered landscape scenes, while calm conditions allow for reflections and expansive waterscape photographs. Sunrise and late afternoon often produce the most appealing light, particularly when mist forms over the water or soft light reaches the surrounding hills.
