    Photography Notes

Brandwag is strongest during the first and last hours of daylight when warm sunlight illuminates the sandstone face. Telephoto lenses help isolate the formation against the surrounding mountains, while wider lenses work well when incorporating grassland foregrounds and dramatic skies. Passing storms and changing weather conditions often create exceptional photographic opportunities.
