    Photography Notes

Deception Valley is one of Botswana's best locations for photographing black-maned Kalahari lions and other predators in expansive open landscapes. Telephoto lenses are ideal for wildlife, while wide-angle lenses capture the sweeping fossil valley, golden grasslands and dramatic skies. Morning and late afternoon provide the best wildlife activity and the most attractive light throughout the valley.
