Photography Notes

Cabo Girão is best photographed by emphasising vertical scale, cliff edge geometry and the relationship between land and open ocean. Overcast conditions and low cloud enhance depth and separation between rock and sea, while late-day light produces strong tonal contrast along the cliff face. Minimal compositions using cliff edge, horizon and water are particularly effective, with atmospheric haze often softening distant detail.
