Photography Notes
Reynisfjara is commonly photographed from ground level along the shoreline and from the base of the basalt columns. Overcast conditions work well for managing contrast between dark sand and sky, while low-angle light can emphasise textures in the columns. Long exposures are frequently used to soften wave motion, but conditions change rapidly.
