    Landmark

Kallur Lighthouse stands on a narrow ridge at the northern tip of Kalsoy in the Faroe Islands. The small white structure overlooks steep sea cliffs and open Atlantic waters on both sides of the island. Strong wind, rapid weather changes, and shifting light strongly affect visibility and photographic conditions.

    Photography Notes

Kallur Lighthouse is best photographed with wide-angle lenses to emphasise the narrow ridge and surrounding cliffs. Side light highlights grass texture and ridge contours, while overcast conditions reduce contrast between land and sea. Wind direction and cloud height strongly influence both composition and safety.
